2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 seeknay36 (109) - Port Jefferson Station, USA - SEP 11, 2006
Tap at House of Brews (NYC). Light yellow with a small head. I think someone forgot to tell the brewer to add flavor to the beer. I was lost. I have had kolsch beer before with a lot more flavor.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 ectuohy27 (267) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 29, 2012
Very crappy Kolsch, if that’s what it is. Far too high on the hops, far too flat, far too cloudy even for the style. Not even sessionable.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BMan1113VR (6501) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JAN 5, 2012
On tap. Pours with a crystal clear blond-yellow hued body with a lasting white head. Aromas are bready, malty, honey, floral and toasty. Flavors are sweet (malty sweet), up front with mild salinity and minerality. Floral, honey, bready. Good. Lively bubbles, dry and light bodied. Really solid as a Blonde Ale (not so as a Kolsch).
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 BeerViking (1049) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 3, 2011
Crisp dry light body, clean tasting with a hoppy overlay. More like a pils than a kolsch. Overall, OK but a bit dull.

Tap. Clear gold. Light aroma with some hints of wheat and grass, faint hops. Grainy, hint of hops, not bad.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 yespr (22204) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUN 7, 2011

On tap. Poured a hazy yellowish gold with a white head that dissipated quickly to the edges but laced slightly. Aroma had a good amount of sweet grains with a light grassy hop note with a bit light citrus. Flavor began with sweet grains and bread with light grassy hops, pine and citrus.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Hawksfan17 (890) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 14, 2011
Dry wheat aroma on this yellow pour. Wheat and fruit notes in the taste with a dry finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mansquito (1815) - washington, Washington DC, USA - DEC 18, 2010
Union Hall, Brooklyn tap ($5): Pours a pale gold with a white head. Aroma of malts, grain, and bread. Rather smooth brew, not particularly complex, but the flavors are in right proportions. There is some hop bitterness in there, along with a solid amount of malt. In other words, does not taste at all watery. Can’t really taste the wheat and don’t understand why some people saw corn in here.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DruncanVeasey (5146) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2010
UPDATED: NOV 2, 2010 Tap, House of Brews, NYC. Wet air pale with a retreating white halo. Lemon and lime wine gum aroma with botanical dabs. Crisp and lemony with honey-dabbed crackery malt and malted milk biscuit afters. Good clean malt character, corn maybe? Lemon curd on Jacobs cream crackers. Bit watery, but a refreshing session beer.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 19, 2010
Draught, 5.0% at the brewpub. Good fruity and flowery hop aroma. Seemingly clear yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is fruity with a good spicy hop note. Has a little earthy hop note as well. The finish is a bit watery. Not as clean as a real Kölsch, but a good attempt at the style.
