3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hivemind (658) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 6, 2011
On tap at Lansdowne with Andy, James, PJ, Chris. Killing time and watching football before PJ has to get the bus back to Philly. Dark amber pour, almost brown. Smells very hoppy. Tastes hoppy as well - very bitter. No sweetness at all. Not incredibly balanced but tasty if you’re just having one.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 murphym45 (769) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 25, 2011
UPDATED: APR 2, 2011 On tap at waterfront ale house in Brooklyn. Pours clear gold with a thin white head that laces. Aroma is Hoppy, very piny. Taste is more bready malt, subtle hop character on the palate. Noble hops, spicy and earthy. Light bitterness on the finish. Dry. Not a huge fan. Fairly unpleasant, gets worse over the course of the glass. I didn’t come close to finishing this one.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 trapped (333) - TURKEY - FEB 13, 2011
Draft at Chelsea Brewing Company, in Manhattan. Hazy yellowish amber color, medium off-white head, citrusy aroma, bitter hoppy taste, medium body, long finish. Way too hoppy for me.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mansquito (2504) - Nueva York, New York, USA - DEC 5, 2010
People’s Republic of Brooklyn pint ($6): The bar had only this and Coors Light on tap. I think that I made the right choice. I guess this is a play on Hop Devil. Anyway, it pours a pretty light colored body, with a white head. Aroma is of piny hops and grapefruits... fresh as other people have said. The beer itself is sufficiently hoppy, with not that much astringency. Citrus flavors prevail, along with a little flower or two. Bitter, but not excessively. Drinkable and well balanced enough, but not outstanding.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 DruncanVeasey (6116) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2010
Tap, House of Brews, NYC. Misted gold with a thick, uneven head patiently awaiting my attention. More of a resiny, herbal/grassy aroma than the Big Daddy; honey on pine with good leafy and cat pee squeezings. Drier, scratchier, more drying than The Daddy; grapefruit and lychee again, massive lace all the way. Punching, quinine finish with some spoiling paracetemol afters like Lagunitas PA. Excellent fresh condition. Not balanced.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MiP (12136) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 19, 2010
Draught, 6.3% at the brewpub. Subtle caramelly and grapefruity aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Small off-white head. The flavour has a rough bitterness and a bit of earth. Mild hop bite in the finish. Unfortunately, the hop notes from the aroma are not very prominent in the flavour.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 blankboy (5152) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 2, 2010
Draught at Pizza Plant. Pours a clear bubbly pale gold with a small lasting frothy white head. Hoppy and fruity aroma. Slightly watery flavour of mild hops at first followed by sweet fruit and a long, quite bitter, finish. Average bodied. Not bad, not great, just good.
