iam (365), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Sep 21, 2005 On draught at the pier. Hazy honey colour with a thin head. Citrus and wheat aroma and a wheat and a bit of citrus taste. Light hop bitterness to finish. Light body
Glouglouburp (2113), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Aug 28, 2008 In short: A problematic stale wheat ale. Some qualities but a disturbing moist sensation.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Ugly cloudy yellow orangey body topped by a very small white head
In long: Nose is wet wheat, barn, musty, sports locker-room. Some of these elements are acceptable in a funky beer but here it just smells stale and mouldy. Very light on taste, which given the nose is not a bad news. Bananas but more like banana juice than fresh bananas. Some orange juice too. Feels a bit doughy/fluffy. Almost no tartness or anything that would help making it more drinkable. Not refreshing, gross if you drink it too quickly although not even very tasty. Drinking that all day would make for a very long day, fortunately you’ve got the longest day of the year to do that chicagodri (634), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 10, 2008 Pours a cloudy gold. White head, not much aroma. That being said there wasn’t that much to this beer. It is a plain wheat, refreshing but nothing impressive. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 28, 2007 Good-looking, cloudy golden pour covered by a lasting white film that kinda sticks. Banana and wheat puree aroma. Wheat grains and pie crust notes. Very limited acidity. Again, aiming at basic refreshment. Simple flavours, not much yeastiness at all, but nice light-medium body with a very active and bubbly carbonation. golubj (1086), Redwood City, California, USA Oct 28, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Some citrus aroma in this one; flavor was mostly wheat, a little funky. Not bad overall. alexanderj (1428), San Diego, California, USA Oct 28, 2007 On tap at the brewpub; aroma was very soft with bread, wheat and yeast. Flavor was much of the same, but with a citrus and hop presence. Crisp finish. Pretty good.
