Cask Conditioned at Reading BF 2006. Copper coloured. Malty and very hoppy bitter. Slightly fruity and a flowery hop aftertaste.

Cask @ St Albans 05: Nice ruby with a beige head. Malty caramel nose. Bit bland, roast and caramel but drinkable.

Cask@St Albans Beer Festival. Sweetish flat, toasty crystal malt type character. Caramelly, some raisin, lemony finish. Not quite all there for me.

Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival 2005. Chestnut brown colour - rather dark for a bitter. Caramel, dark malt and nuts, with some decent balalncing hop bitterness. An unusual best bitter - full bodied and very tasty. Showed very well despite imperfect condition.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - St Albans BF - A mid brown beer with a fruity malty raisin aroma but also a little sulphur. The taste has fruity malts but again is tainted, like so many beers at this festival by a little fartiness. Shame as Cheriton is top.
