[Cask at GBBF 2005] A pale hazy yellow with a thin white head. The flavor is sweet flowery combined with light notes of fruit. The flavor is flowery combined with lemon and grapefruit.

Sweet bitterness with notes of elder flower in aroma and flavour. Fruity aftertaste. Quite fresh and sparkling palate.

Cask@The Red Lion, Isleworth. Very pale in colour. Malty, grainy start, weakish body, twist of lemon at the end, didn’t notice anything particularly floral about it. Was nice because it was light and it was a hot day, but otherwise i might not have it again.

Cask-conditioned @ Flower Pots, Cheriton. Summery aroma - flowery hops, citrus fruit, a hint of elderflower, some woodiness and rising bread. Some sweetness but well balanced full, refreshing body. Getting near the end of the cask-not crisp and fresh enough.

[Cask conditioned] Lovely aroma of hops and elderflower. Very good summer brew. Loads of hops in the flavour with a very pleasant touch of elderflower.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2005 Wow. Intensely floral. In fact, one of the most floral beers I have ever tasted. Lots of aromatic hops, but also elder flowers apparently. Very pale, very refreshing, with some bitterness, but overall very easy drinking. Citrus overtones. Spectacular, or was the fact that this was the 12th and last beer (halves only) of a Great British Beer Festival session clouding my judgement. Remind myself to sample it on its home ground at the Flower Pots Inn (an excellent pub) next to the brewery. August 2003

I had this beer with the cellar master of the Wenlock Arms. Beautiful aroma, hoppy, orange, lemon, floral. Theh flaovr lets it down some. Thinnish, slightly astringent, and chalky at the end. Yellow with nice, irregular head. (cask at GBBF 2003)

A beautiful ale from Cheriton. The elderflowers underpin the hops in a way that is quite remarkable. Great spice and aroma. A multi-award winning beer, with good reason.
