pours a very dark brown colour, unregular and slightly brown-tainted little foam; it’s the fruity side (peach, apricot) which shows itself the most; a perfumy touch; the malt body is modest, rather on the sweet side and with a high carbonation; no bitterness and a short fruity finish - strange and rather tasteless

Nice array of taste with this beer which makes up for its rather standard aroma and appearance.

500ml bottle. Cloudy reddish brown body, with medium mocha head, almost no lacing, medium retention. Aroma is yummy: caramel, coriander, sour cherry, a little bready. Taste is sweet with some caramel and coffee. Very light at 4.8% ABV. My favorite from Chernigov.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks mom for this bottle! Very dark cloudy brown color with a medium beige head. Aroma of malt, dark fruits, a bit of roastiness and coriander. Sweet flavor with some malt, rye bread, fruits, and light spiciness in the drier finish. Light-medium-bodied. Not bad.

Rating #622, bottle at Øst-ølsmagning

Brown with a standard head. Unusual aroma for a brown- black beer as it was loaded with citrus and coriander - quite pleasing. Flavor is roasted malts, liqourice, citrus and orange. Surpringly fresh and not what you expect at all. Allthough the palate is a little thin the softness saves it, and this was actually the only good beer a brought home from Ukraine. Definately interesting and worth a try.

Koelschtrinker (7054) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 30, 2011

Dunkeweizeny. I like the sweetness, and the coriander is not overpowering although clearly present. Nice ecru head, very dense with only a few frothy bubbles, deep dark brown color. Smells of spice (pepper, coriander) and mixed grain (multigrain cheerios) with a sourish presence. A little too sour. Also a little too sweet upon full warming, cloying. I’m nearly sure this is weizen based, will have to look it up. Moderately easy to drink, I like the ABV. Fresh, from Dejsk. Best before Aug 2011.

Bottled. Red-brown colour with creamy pale brown head. Flowery, bit perfumy aroma with orange peel and coriander, lots of the latter. Caramelly flavour with dark malt additions along with coriander and orange peel. Not much taste in this beer.
