4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 ectuohy27 (379) - - AUG 9, 2012Christ, what an amazing beer. My friend and I taste-tested the entire Chernihivske line-up on an overnight train to Kamyanets-Podilskiy from Kyiv, and the Bila Nich was the winner by far. Basically a Blue Moon-esque ersatz wit with some dunkel elements. Unique and awesome.

Dark brown with small off-white foam head. Aroma is kind of funny, smelly sock with caramel. Taste is strange to, cannot quite place this, but did not drink the bottle. aftertaste is like eating swetty socks. Strange beer. (St. Petersburg 201305)

Big creamy beige head. Brown and hazy.
Aroma: sweetish and slightly acidic, cidery. Some wheat too. The taste is also sweetish and cidery with bitter and spicy (clove?) finish. Quite nice, fruity, spicy and refreshing at the same time.

0.5 L bottle, kindly povided by Rune. Thank a lot! A cloudy deep red colored beer, with an instantly fading light brown head. Mild aroma of plums and red berries. Some subtle spice notes and hint of bread. Light to medium full. Very soft carbonation. Slick in the mouth. Slightly sweet, spiced and light bready malt aroma. Notes of plum marmelade and somthing reminiscent of lingonberries. Mild spices and vague bitterness in the ending. Quite tasty, yet easy drinking.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 drpimento (1936) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 26, 2012
Poured this at a good temperature with lots of foamy, very frothy, fluffy, tan head that soon settles down and a bit of lace. Color is a hazy dark brown amber. Aroma is malt, roast, beer. I don’t detect corriander. Flavor is light, roast malt with carbonic tang up front with a little bitter in the back. Body is thin and carbonation ok. Finish is like flavor, average length, and forgettable.
