3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice lager, but taste largely varies from barrel to barrel. Sometimes the taste is excellent (especially from tap), sometimes it’s very plain.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Oddly for a Ukrainian beer, this has no off-flavours. Especially odd considering that this is not the most modern brewery on earth. The beer does has some haze issues, but otherwise has a full, malty, grassy-hoppy palate - surprisingly good lager.

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav’s place. Thanks DSG for being so selfless and helping me achieving the 100oth rating milestone in such a respectable and appropriate way! Clear, golden with bubbly white head. Artificial malty and a little H2O aroma, faint corn too. Sweetish, malty taste. Refreshing, light-bodied, softish fizz, sweetish finish. Not bad at all.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled 50cl. Appearance: It pours a beautiful golden beer with a nicely remaining, average sized white head. Lively carbonation. Some lacework. A lot of corn in the nose which is accompanied by melon and cork. A slight hint of boiled vegetables showing up. Sulphury. Flavor and palate: Malty, bready. Easy drinkable. Sweetish taste. Light bodied. Low bitterness. Some cork and lemon sneaking in again. Corny. Dryish finish with hints of melon. Overall impression: A pleasant beer. Interesting.
