This would be a fine, fine drink... if I was into corn syrup and chewing on tin cans. Looks dandy, if you enjoy lifeless pours. Tastes like tin foil, corn syrup, diesel fuel, and white sugar. The description reads, "developed to satisfy the need of Ukrainian consumers for high-quality premium beer." I repect Ukranians more than this.

From a 500 ml. bottle, freshness date on the back label, sampled in a lager glass. Poured a clear orangey golden with a foamy white that slowly dissipates into a thin sudsy lacing. A faint, largely clean nose, cereal grains and sweet pale malts, a little lemony. The carbonation is active, lending towards a light-medium body, crisp, dryish and a tad watery, tastes of a watery tart, lemony citrus, cereal and thin sweet pale malts, fusel alcohol flavor towards the end, a dry, watery tart, sweet malty finish, passable drinkability. This was, for me, barely o.k., I doubt I will be buying this again, there are better cheaply priced east European pale lagers on the shelves of the stores in my area.

thedm (4125) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 8, 2006
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that was mostly lasting and left behind a transparent light orange colroed body. The aroma was malty and slightly acidic. The weird flavor was just off and contained acidic notes. A horrible one that I would not buy again.

Bottle. Poured hazy pale color with a large frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Light sweet grainy aroma. Light to medium good with a syrupy texture. Medium sweet flavor with a soft sweet short finish. Not much character.

Headbanger (2130) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUL 4, 2006
16.9 oz bottle- An aroma of corn on a light golden body with a head that diminished quickly. A taste of wheat and corn. A light body. Not bad for a beer that traveled quite a while.

Sampled from bottle. Pours faintly cloudy yellow-gold with a thin, white head. Sour, wet-hay-like aroma is followed by a semi-sweet, sour malt flavor. Medium-light body with higher levels of carbonation. Quite an unpleasant experience. This beer taste quite old - which is a real issue when a brewer ships a pale lager 1/2 way round the world. I could imagine this being a decent lager at the source (sort of).

frankenkitty (1958) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2006
Chill-hazed golden with a white head that settles in scummy islands. Industrial aroma with a husky corn resumé. Corny, gasoline and vegetables with a touch of sweetness in a flavor that makes me squint and frown as I sip. Who needs that?

it’s gold alright, with an orange tine and a nice puffy head. Wheaty aroma. Tart flavor, hint of sugary syrupy, fresh corn, and grain. Very light bitterness in the middle. OK.

Large white head on top of a deep gold body. Aroma of wheat and vomit. There are hints of grain and corn. The taste is slightly sweet. Notes of lemons and some corn. Also some bread. This is alright for the style.

Boystout (1000) - Chisinau, MOLDOVA - AUG 11, 2004
Typical tartness of other Chornomors is not quite evident here. Golden coloured with well balanced malty/hoppy palate. Full bodied and drinkable.
