Commercial Description:
Cask, occasional;
Marris Otter pale malt and Sovereign Gold hops brewed to produce a fuller bodied drink, help provide this copper coloured beer a sweetish biscuity malt nose and clean bitter after taste. This is already a prize winning beer.

Cask at Reading Beer Festival 02-05-08 following a two hour queue to get in grrrr! Pours light amber almost orangey in colour with off white head. This is an interesting beer in that it has some soap like qualities in the mouth and yet I still like it, there is a soft maltiness and the bitterness is really quite restrained but for my first beer from this brewery that is quite local to me I found it a very decent effort.

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.
Clear medium amber color with a average, fizzy - frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, rancid malt, medicine. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (030508)

Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury.Copper to amber with white head. I found this to be a little dull, a malty thin bitter with a caramel toffee background. A burnt sweetness with a yeasty note. Drinkable but just not exciting.

The Harvester, Long Itchington ’08. Amber brown measure. Similar nutty caramel notes to the Rugby, but much sweeter. Hints of barrel and slightly vinous fruit. Vanilla, creamy malt, Innis and Gunn sweetness. Not bad at all.

Cask at Glenrothes BF 08. Clear chestnut with a thin filmy head. Sweet malt, fruity. Mouth is malty, coating with some brambley fruit and soft bitterness. Really quite good.
