Bottle, 11-07-09 passed to me at Mikey and Barbara’s party. Like the Cwmbran Full Malty, I had this beer after a good few pints of Woods Shropshire Lass, so I was probably not in best rating form, and much like the aforementioned beer this was another that didn’t especially impress me. Poured amber with a thin white head not too much on the nose save for a little bit of citrus maybe. fruity and sweet with a touch of citrus in the mouth, its ok. A5 A3 F6 P3 Ov11 2.8

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2009 Bottled An amber coloured beer which pours with no head but is full of bubbles in the glass. Some nice citrus notes in the nose, with obvious chocolate malt in the mouth giving a little bit of a chocolate orange feel. Pretty decentScore 3.1

Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Brown to chestnut with white head. Good clear beer but a touch on the sweetish side for a bitter. Fruity, darker malts with a background cardboardy note. Perhaps lacks some hop bite. It’s reasonable without hitting the heights.
