jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Nov 12, 2007 on hand pump-pours an off white head that bubbles and mahogany color. Aroma is faint medium malt-some sweet. Taste is mild medium malt –some sweet, secondary metallic hops. Light side of medium body. May be English style, not sure, but it doesn’t work for me. ratman197 (2344), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jan 8, 2006 On cask @ Cheshire Cat poured a clear amber with a large, long lasting off white head. Volgon (2462), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Oct 7, 2002 On tap GABF ’02: Clear orange with a frothy head. Light malty and hops taste. Sweet malt and flowery if you really want to know. Watery mouthfeel. Ends bitter and sour. I could see how a bitter drinker may like this, but to me it was weak, watery and not exciting in any way. Of course, I remember meeting a fellow GABF’er (that sounds obscene!) in an elevator, he asked me my favorite beers and than gasped in horror when I told him. He only really likes traditional English Pale Ales; Mild ones and then ran from me. Heh heh. Scaring people is cool. Ernest (4250), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jun 3, 2002 Draught. Light amber. Aroma is moderately malty (light bread), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a light note of peach and toffee. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly bitter, lightly acidic. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. A very pleasant and delicate British bitter. Very quaffable. A little more alcohol than a typical English bitter.
