[3353-20100821] Tap. Sunflower seed orange hops aroma with quite a mild and fruity undertone. Slightly hazy, light orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. More sunflower see in the flavour with orange hops. Medium body. Interesting to sample.
(Golden Tap Awards 2010 @ beerbistro, Toronto, ON)

Draught at Golden Tap Awards 2010, beerbistro. Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange with an average size diminishing frothy off-white head. Mild aroma is papery along with caramel malt, oranges and other fruit. Watery flavour, also papery, with caramel malt, some fruit and light hops in the finish. Average bodied. I found this mediocre, just O.K.

August 21, 2010 - Golden Tap Awards at BeerBistro. On draught. Slightly hazy amberish-gold with a decent frothy off-white head. Aroma is likely oily fruit essence, mostly - like the orange or citrus concentrate oil you might use in an aromatherapy burner - or citronella - with a very sugary backing, very sweet, a little weird. Taste is extremely bitter, but characterless bitterness, which is disappointing - and plenty of dry "yep, thatís a Canadian beer alright" graininess too, not much alcohol. Average body, hint of astringency, nicely carbonated - a longish bitter finish, but my reaction was "so what?" to it - it was just there, it didnít represent and didnít take me anywhere. I didnít go back for more, and thatís sad, as the pickings were slim at the GTA this year.

2010-08-21. Very lightly hazy orange body, small frothy white head. Mild aroma is pleasantly fruit with hints at citrus and tropical fruit. Flavour is similar, mild fruit throughout, light hoppy bitterness. Smooth average bodied palate. Enjoyable. On tap at Beer Bistro, Toronto
