UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 Gave a new batch a try at The Only Cafe. Hazy pale amber pour with a creamy white head. The aroma is softly earthy and hoppy. A lovely UK sort of spicy/earthy bitterness. A nice crackery pale malt base and a fresh-baked sort of flavour. Diacetyl problem has been solved - this is nice and clean with a nice flinty sort of bitterness. Lovely quaffable pint. Solid bitter.
Pale amber pour with a thick creamy head. The aroma is quite laden with
diacetyl and lots of soft earthiness. Malts are kind of sweet and fairly pronounced. Hops are kind of restrained.

On tap: puts a lightly hazed amber ale in the glass with a decent 2 finger off white cap that laces well. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of caramel malts, some citrus and piney hops. Tastes much like it smells - caramel sweet malts are balanced off with a spicey/citrus hop mix...light fruity esters....sandy mouth feel….finish is clean with a building bittering from piney hops. A good drinker...lots of flavor but mild and easy to quaff.

On tap at Chancey Smith’s- Deep copper pour, has a one finger off white creamy cap. Nose of bready malts, cirtus, some spice, burnt sugar. Tastes of sweetish caramel malts, dark bread crust, citric hops with a pithy bitterness. Medium bodied, almost creamy smooth. An easy drinker. Good!

On tap at C’est What - arrives a clear medium gold colour with a good, thick white head that leaves thick lace down the glass. Aroma fresh hops, quite citrusy, with a hint of the sweet malt body to follow. Flavour a wonderful balance of assertive (for a bitter) hops, and sweet honeyish malt. Hop flavour is very lemony. Reminds me somewhat of Black Oak Pale Ale, but with a juicier, more citrusy hop presence. Incredibly moreish.
