COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first product to become available from Cheshire Valley is an Unfiltered ESB. This product is 4.6% abv with medium-high bitterness supported by toasted malt flavours. The hop flavour is moderate but balanced by a caramel malt sweetness. This beer is excellent by itself, however it also goes well with cheese, BBQ and curry.

On tap at C’est What - arrives a clear medium gold colour with a good, thick white head that leaves thick lace down the glass. Aroma fresh hops, quite citrusy, with a hint of the sweet malt body to follow. Flavour a wonderful balance of assertive (for a bitter) hops, and sweet honeyish malt. Hop flavour is very lemony. Reminds me somewhat of Black Oak Pale Ale, but with a juicier, more citrusy hop presence. Incredibly moreish.

A reddish amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, a sweet nutty and waxy malt, coffee grinds, mash tun. In mouth, a sweet maple malt with light grainy notes, nutty barley suger, not bad. On tap at Volo , Oct. 29 2011.

Pale amber pour with a thick creamy head. The aroma is quite laden with diacetyl and lots of soft earthiness. Malts are kind of sweet and fairly pronounced. Hops are kind of restrained.

On tap: puts a lightly hazed amber ale in the glass with a decent 2 finger off white cap that laces well. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of caramel malts, some citrus and piney hops. Tastes much like it smells - caramel sweet malts are balanced off with a spicey/citrus hop mix...light fruity esters....sandy mouth feel….finish is clean with a building bittering from piney hops. A good drinker...lots of flavor but mild and easy to quaff.

On tap at Chancey Smith’s- Deep copper pour, has a one finger off white creamy cap. Nose of bready malts, cirtus, some spice, burnt sugar. Tastes of sweetish caramel malts, dark bread crust, citric hops with a pithy bitterness. Medium bodied, almost creamy smooth. An easy drinker. Good!

On Tap at Volo. Aroma of light tropical fruit, and quite a bit of cereal, and hay. Flavor was bitter, and the sweetness was a little too fruity , and kinda threw things off. Not bad, but a little odd.
