draught at the Wooly. Amber colour. Aroma of fruity citrus hops and caramel. Taste reflects aroma, also a hint of pine. Malty finish. Decent.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 thb (484) - Alberta, CANADA - JUN 14, 2011
On tap and disappointing. Looks just fine for an IPA but it’s missing both the hop and malt character. Cooked vegetable finish an unfortunate flaw.

550ml draught
6.0% ABV
I tried this beer on draught on May 27, 2011 at "C’est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent red-orange, with a creamy white head that laced very well. The aroma was citrusy hops, and a bit of sweet caramel malt. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was grapefuit, a hint of caramel, and a very bitter finish. Quite refreshing.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 turboespresso (218) - Port Moody, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 2, 2011
On tap. Unfiltered IPA. Nice cloudy copper-brown with frothy head. Scads of lace. Nice roasty malt body. Very nicely matched by the generous bitter hops. Carbonation low to medium. Most excellent IPA with great flavour.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Lubiere (6988) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 31, 2011
A golden amber IPA with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, smooth caramel malt over light British floral hops. In mouth, a good lightly sweet caramel malt with faint floral hops, butterscotch, a bit oily, not bad. On tap at C’est What, May 21 2011.

This was on cask at Gambrinus Bistro and Cafe. I was here when the cask was on, when this beer was here. A very clouded amber/orange poured a giant creamy foam leaving rings upon rings of lace as I imbibed, with excellent retention. Straight forward citric and mild pine in the nose, I also got caramel and a subdued fruitiness like apricot and peach. Medium bitterness, with a hint of caramel sweetness to help balance. Very creamy, medium bodied, with nice pithy bitterness lingering. A great effort.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JoeMcPhee (6965) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 16, 2011
Deep golden pour topped by a sticky/creamy head. The aroma is quite interesting. Deeply spiced nose with a bright peppery bite. Fairly light orange peel and chewy pale malt. There is a little bit of buttery diacetyl that I could do without. Assertively hopped though. It’s okay, but I’d love it cleaner.
