[5392-20130525] Tap. Mild coffee grains aroma. Clear, dark amber red body with a quick foamy off-white head. More coffee grinds and roasted grain malt in the flavour with a nice long grainy aftertaste. Medium-full body. Delicious, great balance. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

On tap at the Only Cafe. Pours a dark brown with an orange tinge and average-sized, lasting light tan head. Aroma is roasty with mellow coffee and hints of cocoa. Flavour also has a nice roastiness with definite coffee character and a little chocolate. A nice mild - lots of flavour despite the low ABV.

February 6, 2013. On draught at Bar Hop. Deep brick red pour, clear, with a small beige diminishing head. Smells and tastes like an acceptable classic dark English mild - sort of sweet, a little earthy, soft bitterness and no alcohol; not at all harsh. Light body and carbonation, quick roasty slightly sticky finish, just a whisper of sourness in the aftertaste. Easy drinking, not memorable, won’t get you drunk: a mild.

2013-05-25. Very dark brown body modest tan head.3++ Moderate aroma is lightly metallic, dry toasty malt character. Flavour is modest, dry malt, lightly toasty and roasty. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Decent, it is a bit too mild a too dry for my preference. On tap at Volo, Toronto

Ok. Why do this style with such ability? seems like a waste. great head and lacing. Pours ruby translucent. Aroma malty with little else. Pretty carbonated. Leaves slightly sour, slightly bitter. On tap at volos.

A reddish copper ale with a thick lacing brown head. In aroma, grassy nutty roasted malt with light veggie notes. In mouth, a nutty malt with grassy notes, boiled veggies, ok.

Aroma mild , hint of smoke, dark roast, darker theme backing, tad metallic.
Appearance dark brown with medium plus tanned top. Some lace noted. 3+
Flavor and Palate : dark in character. Mellow with dry roasted barley (Inka barley coffee), sunflower seed with dark base malts. Decent.

Tap at C’est What. Ruby-garnet coloured brew with a tight creamy tan head. The nose is great. Mild toasted malt and a little bit of light roast adding some body. Lightly bready malt base and a little bit of spicy hoppiness. Well-balanced and quite authentic. Very sessionable pint.

On tap at bar Volo. A mild stout with a little roast. Substantially overcarbonated which made it difficult to want to drink. Dark bodied. Likely better on cask.
