can’t find any info on oak aged chesty, so here it goes for now: sweet fruity notes and toffee and caramel. tastes a little bigger than the 5.3% on the bottle implies. ok overall, really nice for what usually is a boring style to me.

22 oz bottle the ale poured a clear dark amber with an off white head and some lacing. Your nose detects caramel malts. The ale a has a nice balance with hops and malt. The medium body ale had soft carbonation The finish was smooth yet dry. Chesty Puller from a small Virginia town: Saluda.

No real aroma...not bad aroma but nothing there. Same with flavor...no real malts...beer was made well with no infection but also nothing there.

Xmas in Oceanside. Really clear dark amber. Opus nce carbonation, off white head and lacing. Decent balance of caramel and hops. Somewhat dry but ok for and Irish style. Good to see some decent reds coming around.

Nitro pour at Urge. Pours brilliantly clear rubied brown with a large, creamy tan head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is toast malt, dates and soft cherry notes. Flavor is sweet malt, light citrus hops and bitterness, dates and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Pretty dry...but good for irish red style. No defects good tasting, I like my reds with more body but I didnt ding it for that.

[ Keg ][ 4oz ][ Legacy ][ $2 ][ Fluted Taster ][ 7.20.14 ]
>> Nitro pour, good nitro lace. Roasty nose with cherry and sweat. Taste is moderate chemical, dry, some roast, more drinkable, not as harsh as their other beers. Finish is dusty. Not good but not offensive.
