Botella. Hazy ddep golden orange like colour, small white like head. Aroma is fruity with yeast spice and some citrus. Flavour same, but more fruity and more citrus. Pleasant indeed.

Purchased as part of bridge roads 24 beers till Christmas countdown Bottle. Pours black with a earthy red hue. Aroma. quite a complex nose, of currant, bubblegum, cinnamon, a general spiciness and caramelized/burnt toffee. Taste. On entry i get a very malt forward beer, consisting of deep and dark fruit flavours such as cherries, currants and a slight sourness. Overall. quite a decadent and very hard for me to describe, as ive tested very few of its kind.

750 ml bottle at Print Hall. Pours out a cola brown, darker than expected, and the aroma of pit fruits brings to mind an abbey dubbel. Thin silly beige head, fruity wine-like nose. Taste is cherries, apricots, flowers, meadow, which should improve as the beer warms. Lingering plum sweetness, bubbly effervescence leaves the mouth tingling.

Bottle. Very different to what I was expecting. Much darker for starters, but the funkyness was much stronger than anticipated as well. This was an old bottle, so I would like to try it again, but based on what I had I’m not sure this beer is for me.

An unusual version of the style as it was way darker than expected. The flavour was unusual too - a delicious combination of Belgian beer and French wine. I can live with both.

Bottle. Cellared for 2 1/2 years. Murky brown, mahogany with virtually no head. Sour aromas, funk, plenty of malt and stewed stone fruit. A lively sour element to the front and finish, but a strong caramel malt middle. The alcohol presents itself but is well balanced and appropriate. Very enjoyable

Not sure on the low ratings of this. Thought it was pretty good. From the bottle cheers to the boob at good food and wine show. Pours dirty amber with a khaki head. Nose is full of spice, mild banana and a whopping amount of christmas cake fruits and sweetness. Absolutely chock full of raisin sweetness, plums and dates while brown sugar overlaps between them. Fair kick of spice too including liquorice and mild cinnamon. Quite tasty stuff
