2009-12-31. Lightly hazy pale yellow, modest white head and lace. Very mild aroma, light pale malts. Flavour is similar, light pale malts and very light bitterness. Average to light bodied palate. Okay, pleasant enough for what it is but a bit plain and mild overall. On tap at the brewpub

On Tap at the Brewpub. Pretty basic golden ale. Some grainy notes, with light grassy hops. Nothing to write home about.

Sample tray. Yellow. Flavour has a bit of a sharp edge but overall rather plain.

My Bottom Line:
This unfiltered Blond Ale provides long cereals and crisp, spicy supporting hops in a body built for drinkability and balance. This was a solid, light session beer which was not a dumbed down version for neophytes.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the hazy blond.
-A shy citrusy fruitiness tags along the hop spiciness.
-The finish is lightly bitter, a valiant conclusion to the diplomatic flavor profile.
-Even though this was clearly advertised as being the least aggressive of all of their beers, it was as well crafted as anything else on the menu that day, and thus quite pleasant.

On tap at the brewpub.

cloudy pale yellow hue, with a white head, pale malt, buttery note, floral hops fruity accent, mostly citrus fruits in the aroma follows through on a light-bodied palate with a juicy pale malt, spicy floral hops and grapefruit fruitiness, leading towards a faint hop bitterness finish.

A hazy orange beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet spicy with slight hop notes as well as some lemon notes, from the hops. The flavor is sweet hoppy and grassy giving it slight lemon notes, and leading to a dry hoppy end.

Slight white ring covers the straw to gold clear hue. Dull straw nose, faintly floral, creamy. It gets a touch better in mouth where the light flavors at least reach a broader range, minty and grainy. Just very bland and unsatisfying. Light watery palate.
