Hazy dark golden-amber, with a light tan head. Curranty, woody, berryish nose. Rich woody, grapefruity bitterness, balanced by toasty malts. Relatively creamy for style. Dry, toasty, woody finish.

Sample drank at "La Soirée des Brasseurs 2010" in Shawinigan, on August 13. Hazelnut brown, small head. Aroma of hopped nuts, slightly malty. Taste of weak dry hops, slight tart citrus, slightly bitter. Not enough bite!

[2679-20091231] Tap. Aroma has some grape hops, mild resin and a little grass. Clear, amber orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Nice bitter tree sap resin hops flavour has mild bark notes. Medium body is a little bitter. Best beer of the bunch they offered tonight.

From tap at the brewpub. Nice red-amber pour with thin white head. Aroma is potent american hops with a malt undertone. Lots of bittering hops in the taste, might lack just a tad of malt sweetness. Palate is a little on the thin side but it’s one of their rare beers that isn’t downright watery. Well done and definitely the go-to from these guys.

2009-12-31. Crisp dark amber orange body with a nice beige head and lace. Lightly fruity, very resiny hop character in the aroma. Flavour is similar, resiny hops are prominent, moderate bitterness throughout, modest caramel malt base, resin lingers in the finish with light herbaceous touches. Pretty decent, modest IPA. Liked it enough to order a pint after the sampler. A bit tame for an IPA but a nice sessionable brew. On tap at the brewpub

On Tap at the Brewpub. Nice aroma of citric hops, and some sweet malts. Flavor was just hops, it was a little one dimensional, but a good IPA none the less.

One of their more drinkable beers. British style IPA with lots of lace and a white topping on yellow. A bit of bite and citrus. Neuytral aroma. Mid mouthfeel. Well malted.

(Rating #1672)
