On tap. Clear yellow gold pour with thin white head, smallish lacing. Aroma of honey is quite dominant, some fresh grain notes, no hemp whatsoever. Taste is sweet, lots of honey flavor at least, grainy, even a touch of alcohol in the finish. Palate is med bodied, not too watery for a change, with good carb. This is the first time I’ve been back to this pub in years, despite it being in my hometown because I used to hate it so much. This time however, the beers weren’t nearly as bad as I remember - certainly boring, but not bad.

(Rating #3613)

Pours a cloudy blonde color with a ring of white lace. Ordinary aroma of honey and spices. Average flavor of honey, spices, hemp with a bitter finish. The body is light with an oily texture and low carbonation. This one is below Gambrinus’ standards of quality.

Tap. May 2004. Yellow clear ale with a honey and citrus aroma. Fresh malts , lightly sweet, with a nice hops attack, hemp-like, very fresh and clean, nice body and lightly lemony.

An unextinguishable, succulent clover honey rules supreme and suppresses all possible hemp rebellion...The bitter, flowery sweetness of the honey is well-presented but is too omnidirectional for my tastes...Somewhat of a comfortable despotism though...
