2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle: The aroma is pretty nonexistent. There’s just a hint of bread/cereal and grass. It pours a transparent gold with a one finger white head that quickly fades to a thin film. There is some decent thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with with a very quick dose of light honey and cereal. The finish has light grass with just a hint of apple. It’s light bodied with moderate-lively carbonation that is a bit prickly at times. Overall, there just isn’t much here. Sure, more flavor than your standard BMC, but this is still pretty bland. I guess you can call it a thirst quencher since there just isn’t much here to get offended by. That also means there’s nothing here to look forward to or get excited about either. There’s certainly worse out there.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
bottle. Golden with small head. Lager with hoppy bite. Like all classic Chicago beers, it’s brewed in Wisconsin. Is there anything good they brew at Stevens Point?

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle to pint. Looks solid; a transparent golden orange with foamy white head and lively carbonation. Smells and tastes doughy and a little skunky with an average (at best) mouthfeel. Meh.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
OK...basic lesson: Stevens Point makes bad beer. Buttery offensive aroma. An absolute butter bomb, complete amateur hour swill.. This should never have even been considered to hit the market, Seriously failing on all accounts. Bullshit consumer fraud.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Aroma has notes of aromatic hops and caramel malts with a classic lager yeast tone. Golden yellow hue with an average white head that mostly diminished and left no lace. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is medium bodied and with average carbonation. Overall a nice lager.

Up front it is nicely herbal and hoppy, finishes watery and plasticy. Half way there.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
An average ale at best. Kind of tastes like a less heavy Budweiser. The others beers out of this brewery are much better

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear burnt orange with a thin ring of white head. Aroma of corn and grains with a hint of skunk and a little citrus. Taste is light bitter. Skunky herbal and citrus hops with some corn and grains and a little caramel. . Light bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. I could drink this again, but probably wouldn’t seek it out.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz bottle from Binnys (Naperville, IL). Split with the missus. Pours a straw pale yellowish hue, some gentle haze, stark light edges and body. A small frothy whitish head atop dies to a mellow film, light lacing, with a small ring remaining. Aromas are fairly light, some gentle cereal and bready malt, kiss of earth, gentle staleness. A bit underwhelming. Initial is lighter bodied, offering bready and cereal malts, gentle grass. Fairly clean and light, perhaps a bit watery into the middle. Gentle corn, cereal grains, bread and gentle sweetness, kiss of fruit. Dryness, a bit of spice, mellow bland qualities with a bit of paper into the finish. Overall, it’s underbodied and a bit watery, lacks flavor even for the style. Meh, pass almost every time. Comparable to most Macro Lagers, perhaps it has a slight edge over those.
