2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 jgb9348 (3492) - Arlington (Pentagon City), USA - JAN 19, 2012
Clear golden coloured body with a honey glow and a few bubbles rising from the bottom with a two centimetre tall just of-white head. Aroma of light malt, a small amount of saaz or relatively lower alpha acid hops, some citrus and a faint hint of sugars noticeable. Light-bodied; Very watery flavour at first with a touch of malt and body later on in the taste. Aftertaste shows some citrus, a little hop nugget and a touch of sweetness at the end. Overall, not a great beer, but nothing bad - just a bit muted and about par for the course on this style. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Chicago (Ontario St), Illinois on 03-December-2011 for US$1.50 sampled at home in Washington on 19-January-2012.

Pours a very light yellow with little head. Aroma is light, but flavor has the canonical lager bite. I suppose that’s good.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Headbanger (2130) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAR 31, 2012
12oz bottle 3/31/12 (Trader Joe’s Naperville)-44° in Lager Glass-Pours a light clear golden with a small white ring for a head. Aroma of sweetness, malt, and light hops. Taste of the same with a bit more hops. This light bodied brew was not bad and I was expecting worse. Would be a great mowing the lawn kinda brew.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 rubbishystuff (1303) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 1, 2012
At Shoeless Joes. Better than many macros but not a lot better. Some sweet maltiness. Some adjuncts maybe? Serving: Bottle
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Scipio (185) - Vernon Hills, Illinois, USA - FEB 28, 2012
Bottle. Clear and watery in appearance. No real detectable odor. Think of a glorified lite beer.
1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 naivepegasus (270) - USA - NOV 27, 2011
From Trader Joe’s. Pours a very clear straw yellow with about a finger of stark white head. Looks distressingly macro. Hay in the odor, not much else. There’s really nothing to the flavor- it’s inoffensive with a light sweetness...it’s better than the standard macro lager, but just barely, and not by enough to warrant the price.

Clear yellow with a white head. Rather foul boiled cabbage aroma. Light sweet malt with trace hops and sour finish. This is worse than Point Special Lager (which is not bad for the style) and more expensive.
