Red to dark amber color; creamy head. Good mouthfeel, soft Ale with sweet malt, fruity yeast. Not a dubbel, not complex but enjoyable.

Jan 3, 2007 Aroma is ok. There is almost no head, a bad sign. The flavor has all the spices you’d expect right up front, but it finishes off flat, like I was worrying about from the head. Overall, has the makings of a good dubbel, but could use some work.

Apr 21, 2006 Dark brown chestnut beer, no head; Lactic character with lots of fruitiness and very estery. Flavourful, sweet and dark malts with perfumed and fruity notes. Slick MF, smooth and even voluptuous. Very good dubbel, even when style requirements would have it more bitter.

Oct 4, 2005 Pour is slightly hazy brown with thin tan head...smell is great with nice earth fruits, yeast, vanilla, yum...everything is lost after the taste...thin watery earthfruits, some yeast...

Feb 16, 2005 A nice attempt at a belgian by this brewery, but still missing something found in great authentic belgian ales. Still worth a try if you’re in the neighborhood however, it still has a very good belgian-esque flavor though not as complex.
