COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
CBC’s medal winning old town brown is a German-style brown ale. This beer has a clean well rounded dark malt character which creates a mild chocolate aroma and flavor. Colder fermentation temperatures and long cellaring time makes our brown a truly smooth all round brew.

The walk-up bar at the Four Queens on Fremont Street has Old Town Brown on draft for $3 USD a pint. Great nut brown flavor, aroma and caramel color. Excellent session beer, even if that session is on your feet wandering around the Fremont Street Experience.

Clear and deep amber with nice lace. Chewy-sweet caramel. Hints of wood, tobacco, brown sugar, and a slightly spicy bitterness. OK beer, but too sweet.

Clear amber body with beige head. Aroma and taste are mild, medium sweet, some spice (clove), earthy, caramel. Watery, light-medium body. Pretty non-descript.

Dark brown color with caramel apple hues. Creamy off-white head with little lacing. Nose of smoke and toffee; peanut brittle and brown sugar, figs. Taste is moderately bitter & astringent but finishes smooth & buttery. Thick mouthfeel. Tobaccoish.

Dark brown, burnt malts, scorched coffee and a little bread flavor. Very spicy for a brown... chocolate and coffee nose, a little maple underneath.

Great creamy head. Nice lacing that coats the glass! Nice clear red/brown hue. Light malt nose. Malty taste with a creamy texture. Very drinkable.

Tad bit of the nutty aroma and indeed a nut-brown-like taste, but also with a strong sweet side. Strange combination, but decent.
