Clear and golden with a frothy-white head. Sweet and flowery nose was tremendously inviting. Texture was amazing -- rich, weighty, smooth, and perfectly carbonated (for a "big" IPA). Big, wafty flavors and aromas of flowers, perfume, grass, earth and pine. I could even pick out the Perle hops somehow (reminded me of a homebrew I made once). Wonderfully balanced beer. Shockingly tasty! I hope they keep brewing at this level.

Aug 18, 2003 For a small micro brew, this is a damn good IPA. The hops jump out of the aroma. Nice head that sticks to the side of the glass. It has a little more of a creamy taste than all other IPA's. I was very impressed with this. Definitely worth a trip after visiting Sierra Nevada.
