3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale colour, clear, minimal head which faded fast. Aroma was fairly pronounced Hallertau hop and red cabbage. Tasted red cabbage, malt and some pleasant honey notes. Mouthfull was crisp, smooth and moderately carbonated. Overall it was a balanced, refreshing easy drinker, shame it won’t reach more people.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle from an off license in Kreuzberg, Berlin. Pours a nondescript Helles colour. Not quite sure why it doesn’t spell Hell as Helles. Has a mildly sweet malt taste with a light body and grassy elements. Pretty average, pretty boring.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very pale yellow color. Fast fading head. Slightly malty aroma with minor flower/herbal notes. The initial flavor is very mild, even a bit watery. Some moderate maltiness. The flavor strengthens towards the finish. Finishes with dryish and pleasantly bitter hoppy notes. Tasty but not too special. A bit different from the mass-produced lagers. (0,5 l bottle, best before 5.2.2014, poured in a Schott-Zwiesel Brussel -glass.)
