BMan1113VR (762), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA May 16, 2008 Uploaded info and picture. 750mL Bottle produced in (indicated) Febuary 1998. My first Koshu, and the last of my sake styles to rate. Pours a bit urine like in color. Pretty strong legs. Aroma is other and oxidized. Some cobwebs, old pineapple and kiwi. Taste is much different than any sake I have ever had. Earthy at the start and finish and an odd subdued fruit note throught. Slightly musky and acidic at the same time. Balanced, and no alcohol detectable (key notes for sake). Relativly thin mouthfeel. Very interesting and unique beverage. Offputting at first sip, but some how leaves me asking for more.
thebeertourist (1764), Oslo, Norway Jun 17, 2008 1998 bottle. Pale champagne-like colour. Fruity aroma with hints of licorice. Strangely spicy flavours with some sweet licorice.
