COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Chiltern Pearl draught spring ale is bursting with freshness. The first in our series of limited edition 30th anniversary draught beers it is a classic Chiltern beer brewed with some of our favourite ingredients from over the last 30 years. Spring fresh and lively on the palate this rich golden coloured beer is brewed with a balanced blend of fruity Goldings and Northdown hops and Maris Otter malt to produce a unique flavour reminiscent of bygone days and new seasons.

[Gravity cask at Reading BF] Pale amber, huge loose white head. Big bitter citrus taste, yet still very traditionally English in character (as are most of Chiltern’s brews) with a rustic earthiness in the finish. This is one of their best - refreshing, and yet comforting and fulfilling at the same time.

Cask at the White Horse 40 from 40 Festival, 3rd May 2010. Clear amber. Fresh but not very hoppy. Indistinct summer ale; good if you don’t want any harsh hoppiness. A bit flat and dull really though.

Yawwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnn. Dull ass shit from these guys again. Spicy hops and unplesant maris otter malt which is husky and caramelly . Not my cup of shit.

Cask conditioned at The Kings Head, Aylesbury, Bucks. Amber with white head. Hooray, a classic example of a dry, hoppy session bitter with a decent slightly roasted body and a fresh, cleansing bitter hop. Liked it lots, not sure why it’s a limited edition.

Cask at The Kings Head, Aylesbury, Bucks 21-04-10 Pours amber with a white head. Mmmhh. this is a really nice beer, crisp, refreshing and indeed very spring like. There is a good prolonged bitterness, citrus peel and pith. I like this because it is weighted towards the bitterness and lacks the residual sweetness that could have spoilt it, some hops on nose. Nice beer. A7 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.6
