Bottle at home from drinkstore
pours hazy pale blonde with fluffy white head that collapses to a lacing. Strong coriander on the nose, fairly lively carbonation. Sweet malt and strong spices. With a touch of warming booZe and brief finish.

Beautiful slighty hazy pale orange, lovely tight whitefluffy head. lovely fruity aroma, fleshy apples and pears, nice and mellow. messier with yeast. Soft grainy taste, slightly bitter grassy dusty hops. Full and sweet smooth palate, crisp carbonation. With yeast, it’s messier, definitely drink this without yeast. Not boozy, but quite potent, plenty of vapours. dry woodinessand bitter old hops in the long long finish. the worst bit wss while it was in tyhe mouth, thwe nose and finish are lovely, the taste a bit underwhelming.

The first disappointment from the Chimay family. There is a cumulative aftertaste that builds and and gets less desirable the further one gets through the bottle. It’s a shame really.

Split a 750ml bottle I picked up in Maryland a while back. Aroma was yeasty notes, some bread and a touch of citrus notes. Flavor was grain notes, yeast, bready goodness and a touch of banana. Wheat notes, drinkable - alcohol masked well but is really warming.

The lighter style of Belgian strong. Appearance is pale but the fluffy white huge homebrew head adds a point. Caged and corked by the way. Nose is yeasty and fruity - a bit of banana, some melon, but mainly apricots. Mouthfeel is thicker than I expected, tangy with a bit of alcohol and warmth and some carbonation and syrup. Some complexity and depth here, but not my favorite of this wide ranging style.

Bottle into a chimay glass. Pours a really nice tan color with a fluffy white head that lasts throughout with little bubbles. Sweet, sugary and boozy but nothing that’s if expect from chimay/my epiphany beer. It’s good, don’t get me wrong, but a little dissapointing ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, pours a nice dark brown, aroma of a standard belgian strong, quite sweet, definitely lots of sugars in there. Lots of spice and some belgiany yeast flavours, pretty enjoyable

Bottled from biernavigatie.nl. Hazy golden colored, yeast particles, white head. Very strong spicy nose, cardamom, yeasty, some fruit. Dry and spicy flavor, somewhat alcoholic, not that easy to drink. Feels like a spiced-up version of their tripel, which i’m not really a fan of as well. A one-time brew, which imho is for the best.

Bottle 750ml. Pours sligthly hazy blond with good white head, nice lacing. Aroma is of yeast, fruits, spices, flowers. Taste is of yeast, spices, fruits, malt. Fresh feeling. Palate: Medium body. Overall: A very good one by Chimay, wich is not that interesting usually imvho. Fruity, refreshing.

Bottle (750 ml). Shared by Pier-Olivier & Jean-Philippe, thanks. Hazy dark yellow with a medium white headm, good retention and some lacing. Aroma is yeasty with floral notes, spices (coriander), alcohol and malt. Taste is moderately sweet and yeasty with coriander and other spices, malt, alcohol, floral notes and slight fruity notes. Medium body. Moderately dry. Warming alcohol. A tad less drinkable than most other Chimay because of the body (heavy) and alcohol/spices warming presence, but still quite complex and very good. I enjoyed it.
