(glad i took some notes - was convinced 500=150... tnaks tommy ;) pours hazy pale yellow with a decent white head, retention and lacing. classic chimay yeast with added spices, herbal-forward - not for the best. bready and biscuity, grass, hay, cereals and yeast. some sweetness. lively carbonation, light body, nice herbal-citrusy finish. nothing outstanding like their 500 (!), but nicely done.

Bottle sample at a tasting at our place. Thanks zvikar. Pours pale amber, rather clear with white head. Slightly spiced, slightly honey, some green leaves in the nose, Green taste that becomes grassy and bitter, then a little floral. Full body, very fizzy.

White colour with a generous white head with small bubbles and good duration. Aroma is fruity, apple is present, slightly citrus hints, cookies and yeast. Flavor is slightly sweet, fruity, spicy. The final is light bittery, alcoholic and dry.

This is pretty darn tasty. Quite a bit of bubbly spiciness and a slightly sweet flavor. Pretty good, though steep in price.

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, small bubbley head, quite clear deep gold colour, aroma of citrus sweet spices and cola, flavour of candy and spice with a touch of fruit, cloyingly sweet, thick and heavy. Fair but expected much more.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks zvikar. Clear golden with a huge white head. Fruity aroma with yeast and light spiciness. Sweetish flavor with maltm, fruitiness, yeast, alcohol and a drier spicy-peppery finish. Medium-bodied. Not my thing.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a high, elastic, white head. Nose has definite notes of cardamom, as well as citrus, yeast, and the usual Belgian overtones; it remains in balance and is really pleasant. Much more bitter than I expected on the front of the palate, widening out to a pastry-like sweetness and then finishing very, very long. There is something on the palate that I find out of kilter, but I can’t quantify what it is -- which bugs me. It’s all right, but if I was celebrating 150 years of something I think I’d want something more transcendent.

750ml bottle shared by jsprime. hazygolden with a white head. an imperial version of regular chimay white is all this beer is. not neaded and not better then the original but not flawed or off putting. please make a 5% version next and sell it for $2 a 330ml instead of tricking people with this fancy over priced sweet boozy belgian strong. meh

75cl. Bottle. Poors hazy almost clear yellow with white head. Aroma yeast, apple, fruits, corriander, floral, little spicy. Taste loads of soft bitters, loads of sweets and a hint of sour apple Mouth-feel creamy. Great beer, loving it.
