3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 oppear (26) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 23, 2013
UPDATED: APR 26, 2013 Dark red honey hazy color, lots of top at the beginning that dissipates after few minutes. Smells nice, little alcohol, ripe bananas, raisins but the taste is less then what the nose promises. Less sweet (bit watery) and surprisingly little alcohol for it’s strenght. Going to give this a notch higher score then Trappistes Rochefort 8, similar but this is more drinkable because of less strong alcoholic effect and better appearance.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 sfuen03 (139) - Barcelona, SPAIN - APR 22, 2013
Bottle, 33 cl. Dark copper color; nice, off-white, creamy and long lasting head. Low CO2, good lacing. Aroma is strongly malty and roasty: bread, caramel, cookies and black fruits. Body is moderate, carbonation is average to high; alcohol is nicely present. Finish is very well balanced, sweet, warm and alcoholic. Taste is sweet, warm: black fruits, smooth caramel and vanilla.
4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 WortMan (15) - - APR 21, 2013
Pours deep dark rich brown. Complex nice aroma that is just like it taste. The is one of the best beers that i have ever consumed. It does not have the sickening sweet taste that alot of trappist beers have. Thank God for drunk monks. Very complex but smooth taste with just a slight bitterness at the end.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 HopRedHead (123) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - APR 21, 2013
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a dark brow, nearly black. Short 2cm head that lasted half the beer. Aroma is dark fruit almost savoury sweetness and a doughy bread yeast. Taste is very dark fruit, plum, forward with a chewy bread aftertaste. Lingering booze warmth, conspicuous 9%. Nice bit of bitterness has me reaching for more. Grew on me as I got closer to the bottom.

Brown, fluffy beige head. Aroma of brown sugar, raisins, plumbs, light spice. Flavor of dark bread crusts, raisins, toffee, plumbs, earthy spice, a little tobacco. Carbonation gives a soft bready impression.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 MartinVanBeer (23) - Conway, Arkansas, USA - APR 20, 2013
Pours a dark amber with a thin white head. Yeast, light citrus, and hints of cherry in the aroma. Really great and full on the palate. It has a very complex flavor, with plums, candy, and alcohol. One of few Trappist beers that is easy to find in the US, so definitely worth a try!

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 GIJOE (128) - Monterey, California, USA - APR 17, 2013
Pours dark brown; almost black, but a little light comes through. Beautiful creamy pale-white head that hangs in there for a while.
Aroma is slightly yeasty with citrus notes. Flavor is predominantly sweet like reconstituted dried fruit: hints of plum, raisin, and booze.
Full bodied creamy brew that goes down smooth and lets you know you had a brew!
Very nice. I'll make love to another sometime!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Silvan7 (135) - Samarate, ITALY - APR 17, 2013
Bottle @ home , from supermarket. Finale lungo e dolciastro.
