4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
A little cloudy and the head recedes too quickly. Take some brown sugar and raisins and heat them in a pan, then smell. Thinner than expected, with huge flavor - Those same raisins soaked in sherry and laquer thinner(not in a bad way.) Very fizzy on the tongue. Sweet, a little sour, then fruity finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
0.33l bottle. Dark brown to black color with big browny foam that disappeared faster than I expected. Aroma of chestnut, wood and cooked caramel. Some alcohol can be tasted and very little bitterness. Little overrated, but maybe it just is not my cup of tea(glass of beer).

4.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle in a huge tulip glass. Pours dark copper with the creamiest head I have ever seen in a Belgian style ale. The creamy head coats the side of the glass like ocean foam on the beach. Very well balanced. Deep, dark chestnut flavor throughout the palate. There’s cooked caramel and spice in there. Overall, a classic.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2014 Aroma: pan, banana, alcohol. Apariencia: marron, mucha espuma. Sabor: ligeramente dulce y ligeramente amargo a la vez. Paladar: cuerpo ligero, final un poco amargo. En general: buena, suave, pero pense que seria mejor realmente.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Finally got around to trying this one. Pours dark brown/copper with a small, quickly vanishing tan head. Smells fruity, carmel, yeasty. Taste follows the nose and finishes off with an ever-so-slight alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is medium, carbonation is definitely there but not overwhelming. Pretty great beer.

3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
330ml bottle from the LCBO.Pours a bubbly tan head which left no residue after quickly dissipating. Opaque brown/red (copper) body. Aroma predominantly is yeast and alcohol contrasted well with caramel and malty notes. Mouthfeel is heavy due to a lively carbonation and a strong alcohol finish. Wood notes are present, however subtle.

Botella 33cl. Cerveza de color marron oscuro con mucho cuerpo y buena espuma. Sabor contundente que llena la boca dejando regusto de madera. Cierto toque caramelizado. Buena cerveza.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
It’s very sweet in the aroma, with a small note of caramel and delicate notes of strong alcohol. It’s dark copper color, almost non-transparent, with small head. It’s highly carbonated. In taste it’s sweet, with small notes of caramel and fruits. But mostly it’s very alcoholic, alcohol is definitely on the foreground, so strong it sear in the mouth.
