In short: sweet malty beer.
Aroma is very malty and strong, taste is incredibly sweet (packs a punch in a good sense), palate is malty but sadly too watery.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a murky yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fresh citrus, peppery yeast and earthiness, reminiscent of a Belgian white. Complex flowery flavour with lots of the signature Chimay yeast and citrus. Very drinkable, very smooth and absolutely delicious.
I’d almost be ok being a monk if you get to drink this every day.

330ml bottle poured in a Chimay chalice.
Funny enough, in the left side of the bottle you can read the phrase "ne peut pas être mis en vente" that means "cannot be sold". Some say that this beer is the one consumed by the monks in the monastery and shouldn’t be commercialized. Reality is that I’ve paid a reasonable price (7.5 euro for a 330ml bottle) at a famous beer shop in Brussels.
A: Pours an orange to chestnut very cloudy color. Forms a medium white fluffy and bubbled head. Small retention and some lacings left
S: Smell is close to a Belgian white beer. Very spicy, earthy and refreshing. Coriander, citrus hops, wheat and yeasts
T: As the nose, reminds a white beer. Wheat, coriander, bread, citrus hops. A dry, flowery and refreshing beer. Different from the other Chimays. Good beer, nevertheless. Strength point is its citrus bitter end
M: Light but bit creamy body. Medium carbonation. Delicious mild citrus and bitter aftertaste
O: Very drinkable and refreshing beer. Its low ABV contributes on that matters. Different from the other Chimays. Quite nice beer

Very nice! better than expected. Nice hazy yellow with a fluffy white head and just enough carbonation. Flavor is lemon fruitiness with lots of Belgian yeast that lingers in a long aftertaste. Not much hops or bitterness but in this one that?s good. Not too sweet either. Could drink this all night.

Bottle 330ml. Cloudy orange with medium creamy white head. Great fresh fruity aroma, pear, tart, yeasty, a bit buttery, sweaty. Quite complex flavor, fruity, yeasty, buttery, the alcohol is a bit noticeable, very smooth. Light carbonation. Medium body. Semi-dry sweetish aftertaste. Very good.

Alla spina. Aroma molto intenso di frutta gialla, speziato e fresco. Al palato scorre veloce con un corpo snello, carbonazione media. Finale fruttato e leggermente pepato.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Colour: bright yellow gold. Medium white head.
Nose: fruity (lemon). Hints of wheat and grass. Not too complex.
Flavours: Vanilla, orange peel, citrus. Hints of bread and banana.
Finish: Mellow, refreshing. Not lingering about.
Verdict: A fine drinkable Trappist, but not all comparable to the more common Chimay expressions. Gotta love the ABV, though.
