Bottled. Pale orange and hazy. Perfumy, flowery aroma, similar to the stronger Chimay’s. Sweet and light bodied. Smooth mouthfeel, bordering bo being watery. Light flowery finish.

Some sediment. Hoppy aroma. A nice fresh and bitter taste. Of course it tastes watery and thin when you compare it to the other Chimays, but that does not make this a bad beer.

I was at the same spot as Mads when we drank this one. This is a very thin brew, though it contains more flavour than the Petit Orval which I really dislikes! I find this beer a great tourist attraction, but a weakling. Might be therefore they keep it at home.

A blond, milky beer. Flowery hop aroma. A rather weak watery taste. This was maybe due to my expectations. My friends found it much more tasty. It has a fresh taste but that is it.

A nice light Trappist. Similar to the other ’brothers only’ Trappist, it’s light, nice spices, some hops and easy to drink.

Well, this Chimay is not very special. I had it at the "Auberge De Poteaupre". This restaurant/hotel is the only place, where it’s possible to get the Dorée. It is a little weak beer. Not bad at all, just a light version of the wellknown Chimay flavor. The (only) difference is the low alcohol procent. It is a great beer if you want to work, drive or do other which require a sober attitude. It is great that it has the Chimay-characteristics and yeat it won’t blow your head up the next morning. If I could choose between Dorée and the other Chimays I would choose the other Chimays. I just bought this because I could. Ha ha.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2003 Excellent Chimay aroma with yeast and spices. There is some maltiness and sweetness. The chimay yeast gives it a special character. The finish hoppy with some bitterness.
