3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 madsberg (8939) - Søborg, DENMARK - FEB 11, 2005
Bottled: Light amber coloured. Off white dense head. Medium lasting. LIght spice, yeast and fruit in the aroma. Flavour is malty, fruity, watery and has light spice notes. Is thin bodied and ends on a light fruity note. This is a fun beer to try, but nothing special.

Boring beer when tasted after Bleu, Rouge and White. Not much taste and no finish

Murky brown, nice head, some floaties. Yeasty, nutty and cut grass aroma. Reminds me of Chimay Light (blue) with just the riht amount of kick to make it a nice session beer. Flavor is mostly malty. Very tasty. Thanks BierKönig (Jeppe) for the trade.

Bright hazy gold. Bit musty and peppery, some lemon. Midly undercarbonated.

Poured a cloudy brownish, orange color with a small white head but left no lacing on the glass. Musty cobwebs, light citrus, bandage and straw aroma. Taste was yeasty, lightly sweet lemons, with a soft and smooth mouthfeel.

Sampled in a beer tasting at Plan B, Copenhagen. A great disappointment. Pleasant aroma but way too bland and watery.

Bottle. Clody amber colour. White head, which disappeared quickly. Sweet, yeasty aroma. The taste is dominated by yeast and is acidic. Medium bitterness. Seems ’mild’.

Bottle@Plan B, Copenhagen. Exploded when i opened it and fell right onto my notebook. Once it finally settled down it was OK. Bready/yeasty, and quite light, in comparison to other Chimays, not very full flavoured, kinda tasted like watered down Chimay Rouge, it was OK though, easy to drink.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Jokes (1453) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 28, 2004
Golden amber with a thin, white head. Light fruity aroma with oranges, apples, plums, candy sugar, soft, yeasty dough, honey, biscuits, and light hops. The body is soft and fairly supple, but as light as expected for this daily, Belgian session beer. The flavor is light and rather uneventful. The fruit is light and fairly sweet, but distant. Malt and yeast combine nicely with good flavor seemingly just over the horizon, despite never being met. The flavors are good, but this seems to be more like a watered down regular Chimay beer than anything else. Interesting, nonetheless, but not exciting or something I really want to revisit again.
