Bottle, Gent, Trappistenhuis, May 2005. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, caramel), lightly yeasty (mold). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. 33 cl bottiglia. Una buona Ale belga anche se molto inferiore alle tre Chimay classiche.

Bottled. Murky, pale orange bber with thin lacy head. Extremey fruity and floral nose: peaches, fruit drops, perfume. Slight grassy note. Dry pils malts, quite thin. Slightly yeasty, fruity finsh with some soft bitterness. Fresh but a bit watery.

Bottle, 33cL. @Festival_de_Namur. A golden orange opaque beer with brown hues. Large white head. Medium persistence. Aroma of herbs, spices and bread when temperature gets higher. Medium dry bitter, light sweet. Medium body and texture. Fizzy carbonation. Dry bitter finish. Overall, a light herbal trappist ale. A bit deceiving.

330 ml bottle. Hazy yellow clolour, thick white head. Fruity, spicy aroma with plenty of coriander and citrus fruits, some yeasty and malty notes. The flavour is wheaty-malty, with citrus and a spicy, hoppy finish. Tasty and refreshing.

Hazy pale golden with lots of sparkling in Chimay glass and nice long creamy whitr dense rocky head. Looks great. Belgian yeast, european fruity, sweet, grapes, apple. Medium nody but full soft feel, semisweet, slight sourness, long fruity finish, light spicyces and herbs as mentionef before. Classic but not best Chimay.

Bottle from some random Vinmonopol enjoyed at home
A slooooow gusher. Pours pale golden with a small haze, and a big white head. Smell of spices, fruity yeast esters, hints of champagne, light malts and a touch of herbs. Moderate sweet, spicy start, then light fruity flavors and alot of fruit peel, a touch of herbs before the hop bitterness kicks in. A very pleasent abbey beer. It’s light and spicy, highly drinkable and quite refreshing
