Thanks so much Olivier! Hazy yellow gold, thin soft white head that lasts. Nose is grass and pepper, dusty and with a lemon zest ring. Flavor is very herbal, perfume with light yeast and pepper before the citrus wall that washes in the finish. Soft, ultra-fine carbonation though the doughy end. Supremely drinkable and refreshing with just the right amount of complexity.

many thanks to skyview for sharing. A pale hazy brown color. No head. An amazing yeasty nose with brown sugar and caramel malt and a little raisin for good measure. Solid brown sugar body with a light dry yeasty finish.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2006 Re-rate: Wow, much better than the first few times i tried it. Wonderful appearance, cloudy yellow-orange coloured, lasting head. Yeasty and hoppy aroma, nice but could be a bit stronger. Very nice hop-bitter flavour, some yeast. Pleasant bitter palate. A bit like Orval. Perfect starter for an evening of drinking beer. Original rate: (3.7) Bottled. Cloudy orange appearance, firm lasting head. Nice hoppy aroma. Flavour is a bit one-dimensional, but the bitterness makes it very suitable for drinking during hot weather. Nice brew!

Many thanks to Skyview for bringing this in. Murky copper color with no head. Outstanding aroma of brown sugar, caramel, molasses and port. The taste is a little thinner than I was expecting given the aroma, but still a solid light malt, sweet caramel and yeast. Yum!

The beer pours medium honey murky gold with a decent amount of carbonation. A big white head bubbles about a couple fingers but fades quickly to a little soap on the sides. The lacing is ok.
The aroma is light mostly hops and light flowers.
The taste is great, I wasn’t expecting much but its light but has tons of flavor and totally drinkable. This is by favorite belgian pale ale by far. There is some nice sweetness, light hops, and a great floral finish.
The feel is nice, totally drinkable.
My favorite belgian pale ale, my favorite Chimay. What else can you say?

Pours a light golden peach with sediment floating around. The head is super creamy white or off white. The nose has loads of sweet lemon and light zest. There is a nice peppery spice with some citrus and floral hops behind. Taste is much of the same, ripe lemon, not tart, light peppery spice balances with an assertive juicy citrus and floral hop finish with an accompanying bitterness. The body is light, soft, and creamy with a gentle carbonation and dry finish. very juicy, balanced, sessionable, and tasty.

Poured a hazy gold color from the bottle with a lasting white head. Lacing was beautiful. Smelled of light citrus. Carbonation was soft to medium. Mouthfeel was light to light-medium, and went down perfectly. Tasted subtle complexities of the malt and slight citrus. Great beer for a hot day. Would have no problem drinking only this if I were a monk!

A beautiful unfiltered brew that had the color of a dirty cheerleader; Lt blonde and hazy. Aromas of peach carmel, rasin and fig with beautiful yeastiness like fresh sourdough bread!. Very very clean on the palate. nice yeastiness again with hints of fig and carmel apple.
Gorgeous!
Thank you Skyview!!

Thanks to Craig for this one. Hazy blond in color with a medium sized lasting white head and good lacing. Nice Belgian mildly hoppy aroma, floral with slight barnyard and yeastiness. Nice balanced flavor, subtle with mildly sweet pale malt, Belgian yeast, and some floral and earthy hop notes. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation and an interesting mouthfeel. A damn good and drinkable Belgian ale from Chimay. Need to try this again.
