hotstuff (4532) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 8, 2015
Rated on 8-25-2015 at 800 Degrees Three Fires, Fort Wayne, IN. This draft beer is served with a small off-white head with a short retention, transparent body, slow rising carbonation, and very little lacing. The aroma is citrus, floral, fruity, and caramel malt. The flavor is citrus, fruity, caramel malt, and bready. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is light-medium bodied. This beer is just okay tasting as it lacks character and is rather bland tasting which is disappointing from Chimay. It has a light hop aftertaste.

Light yellow gold color with small white head and little lacing. Aroma is faint with sweet bubblegum and coriander. Flavor has crisp spicy belgian yeasts, bready. Thin and easy to drink- okay overall

A: zacht citrusaroma.

,33l pour from refrigerated bottle into stemmed pils glass in Almaty, Kazakhstan.Pours hazy, dull orange, well carbonated, fizzy white head with fairly short retention. Nose is sweet and fruity, with notes of orange, apricot, flowers, and a little bit of something sour. Super crisp, light body, a little on the thin side for me. A bit of a dry finish, though short. Taste is less sweet than the nose. Leans bitter, in fact. Still fruity and flower, with apricot and orange again jumping out. A little pineapple and some definite spice flavor that I can’t seem to identify. If it were a little less thin and the bitterness a little more balanced, I’d really enjoy this beer. For now, for me, it’s a step again from being something I want to come back to.

Hippoman (403) - Durham, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2015
330ml Bottle from The Water House (JDW), Durham, £2.49. Cloudy, honey-coloured beer with a huge, frothy, white head. The nose is lightly malty sweet with banana esters and a touch of nuts. The taste is also sweet, with wheat, banana and corn flavours dominating early before a finish with caramel and banoffee. Decent but a little too sweet for my liking.
