Not As tasteful As the Chimay blue, but a nice beer after all. Golden pour, a lot of freshness with lemon tones.

Flasche 33cl @ Aiguebelle Trappist Monastery Shop. Hell, leicht trüb, blumig-trockene Hopfennoten stammen wohl vom Hopfenstopfen. Sehr aromatischer und wertiger Hopfen (Perle?). Überaus erfrischend und wohltuend.

(Bottle) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of lemon peel, honey, white bread, toffee, grass and a touch of coriander. Fruity, malty taste with bread, hay, lemon peel, honey, apricots, some coriander and a gentle spicy bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Medium body, with some initial sweetness that dries out towards the end. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Molto beverina, corpo leggero, molto carbonata.

Found this bottled in Belgium’s supermarket Carrefour. Aroma: Herbs, yeast, little clove, slight banana. Taste is light sweetness, medium bitterness, a bit herbal and some honey. And i even detect some flowers, like Lavender or violette. Enjoyable beer, light, refreshing, tastfull.

Bottle. Hazy golden colour with white foam. Aroma: yeast, malts, fruity and floral notes. Taste: malts, yeast, honey, summer fruits, hops, in other words a distinctively Chimay taste! Medium body. Very tasty stuff!

Had this in 2013 at the abbey taproom. Never saw it in bottles until a recent trip to the local beer store. Nice fresh malt on the finish. Hoppier and more balanced and drinkable given lower ABV - kind of nice to have this kind of beer in Belgium once in a while.

Orange color, with little head, disappearing. Smell is malty, but also soapy. Taste too, with also coriander notes. Empty mouthfeel. I love all the Trappist beer, but this one is the worst till now.
