Hardly recognized this bottle, and was surprised to find it in Washington. I guess it snuck it’s way up here. Bottle purchased and poured at Malt and Vine. $4.99. Pours a bright golden color with an active patchy fizz head. Near absent aroma with subtle malt. Very high carb here, which I can’t say I expected. Rich belgian yeast flavor and mild spice. Has a lot of floral notes to it late. Overall a good beer.

Very limpid yellow-green-brown body topped by a fine foam leaving nice lace in the glass. Smells of coriander and apricot. Tastes like a recollection of a splendid beer. Very nice with a starter composed of asparagus, cress, quail’s eggs and sweet bread.

33cl bottle@home in Chimay glass@approx 8 degrees C. Pours hazy golden yellow with a dense white head with excellent retention virtually lasting all through the drinking of the beer. Very pleasant "Belgian" floral aroma with hints of dried and fresh citrus fruits, bread and yeast. To my surprise, the taste immediately reminded me of a lighter ABV version of Karmeliet though not quite as complex and with a lighter mouthfeel. Taste of tropical fruit, coriander, malt, a hint of yeast and spiciness and an excellent earthiness. All this is retained in the very clean and long lasting aftertaste. High carbonation with tiny bubbles rising throughout the session gives the effervescense and freshness that makes this a remarkable well balanced and complex low ABV alternative to the heavier Belgians. The monks of Chimay have got something good here and as the ABV is no more than a normal pilsner, you can even have more than your usual amount of Belgian Ale and still live to fight another day!

Nice golden color with medium sized white head poured from 11.2oz brown tinted bottle. Smell of flowers and fruit with flavors of apricot and spices. Would drink again

330 ml bottle into signature chalice, bottled on 8/18/2015. Pours lightly hazy bright golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, peach, pear, apple, coriander, clove, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon zest, orange peel, peach, pear, apple, coriander, clove, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon/orange peel, coriander, peach, pear, apple, clove, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness and complexity of bright fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Not too dry after the finish. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is an excellent Belgian pale ale. All around great robustness, complexity, and balance of bright fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

A lot of floral notes, great about of carbonation, I thought the drink would float away at times. This has to be one of the lightest beers ever made, you could easily drink a 6 pack of this and still drive. This beer lacks the spiciness or sweetness you are dying for.

Pours a hazy blon, with a persistent layer of foam. Very refreshing, a nice hop bitter and not much alcohol. Dry finish. Bittersweet and hoppy.

Bottle from Carrefour City supermarket, Brugges, Belgium. Hazy straw coloured with a large foamy white head. It has a floral fruit and bubblegum flavour with slight soapy notes (in a pleasant way) followed by tropical fruit on the very dry, smooth finish.
