330ml bottle (Pudel, Tallinn)
Hazy-to-cloudy straw colour, tight off-white persistent head. Massively perfumey aroma, some pleasant malty backbone supports that. Crisply carbonated, but with some swirling it becomes smoother. Such a lovely body, gentle malts, loads of perfume, and such a lovely bitter bite. A full hop, all the aromatic aspects, and all the bitter noble aspects too. Lovely and drinkable, classic triple, at this strength this is a work of genius!

How: Bottle.
Where: ’t Brugs Beertje, Bruggs.
Appearance: Hazy orange colour with an off-white head.
Aroma: Fruit, spices, citrus.
Body: Medium body, ok carbonation.
Flavour: Fruit, caramel.
Comment: The least impressive of the Chimays, but also the lowest abv. Drinkable and seems to be a lot easier to get hold of these days.

33cl bottle at Oluthuone Kaisla, Helsinki. Pours slightly hazy pale golden with a lasting white head. Fruity aroma with Belgian yeast, light citrus and some floral notes. Moderate sweet and quite fruity with a light acidity and bitterness. Nice and easy to drink. Flavourfull and delicious session beer. (2013-08-17)

Small bottle. Hazy yellow body with a tall foamy head, big bubbles. Sweet Belgian yeasty aroma. Sweet taste with wheat and some light hints of apricot and banana. Pretty standard. But it’s hard not to think of Chimay White and feel that it’s so much more flavoursome than this.

Pours hazy yellow with a thin white head with huge bubbles and no lacing. Quite odd. The aroma department is better with spices, fruits and everything in between, definitely belgian.. Some banana esters. Taste is dryish and full of belgian yeast with a slight bitterness. Carbonation is too high for me but it gets better as I progress. Pretty thin, almost watery. Pretty linear otherwise and a little boring, even.
