Poured in Chimay glass. AU$7 for a 330ml bottle. Pours light gold with a 2-finger fluffy head. Spicy, light citrus and grassy coriander smell - typical Belgian yeast. Taste is a pleasant, drying blend of the above spicy aromas. Sweet malt and a balanced blend of Belgian yeast summer hay. Citrus, clove, apples and some hop here too. Watery, but not unexpectedly so. Good lacing, but a thin body that is possibly too carbonated. Well-balanced, this is made properly even if it is weaker than other Chimay efforts (for good reason). Not unlike a weaker Orval. A perfectly drinkable summer session beer if it were only available in quantity! Too easy to forget they are only going for a table beer when it's so rare, not cheap and from a brewery that produces such big beers. Was worth satisfying the curiosity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ home. Slightly unclear yellow-golden color, full sized white head that lasts fir a long time. Aroma is lightly malts, slightly hops and a touch of spices or herbs. Tastes about the same: lightly malty, slightly hops, a touch of herbs or spices, softly bitter finish. Smooth body, soft to average carbonation. Easy drinkable, nice and fresh.

Pours gold with a large fading head. Nose shows Belgian phenols, grassy hops and a very soft but off-putting decomposing plant matter/muddy note. Flavours concentrate one the phenols, grassy and spicy hops and light sweet malt. Finishes very dry however. Strange aftertaste...

Yellow, light brow body. Nice white head. Very potent aroma with a lot of fruit, some citrus and a lot of banana as well as syrup. Taste is disappointing however: watery, high carbonation and only slight bitter taste in the end. It’s not too far from a lemon flavoured club soda. Tingly mouthfeel due to high carbonation. Disappointing.

Bottle 330 ml. Pours blond with a thick frothy white head. Nice floral aroma along with hops, lavender and citrus. Taste is on the same notes, but less pronunced. Light beer, right on style. Fairly enjoyable.

Sandy yellow with a misty complexion. Frothy, loose head that is mostly lasting but fields a wide, stringy lace. Fruity, tart, underripe citrus, bready yeast, lemon peel and lime on the nose. Frothy; all foam and suds, limiting flavour. Sour, tart, almost cordial-like foundation. Tangy, drawn finish; clammy, a little cloying. Light rice cake and bready yeast mid-palate. Feather-weight body. Phenolic and estery but the not the best of both. Pretty bland to be honest! (Code L13 605, 2014, Cellarbrations Carlisle)

Gul/oransje med veldig mye fluffy skum. Spennende og behagelig aroma av sitrus, milde toner av krydder og gjær. Smaken er frisk og leskende, med før nevnte sitrus og gjær. Fruktig, med anelse gress også. Noe tørr, litt bitter i ettersmaken. Medium konsistens.

Big offwhite head. Hazy yellow body with visible particles and slight carbonation. Herbal coriander and fruit aroma with mealy spicy notes. Dry-sweet coriander and tropical fruit taste with herbal spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel that’s still quite intense. Dryish spicy herbal fruity aftertaste with mealy notes. For being 4.8% this is superb, and even if we don’t consider that it’s still a surprisingly good beer. I could drink a lot of this. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly web order.)
