cloudy dark orange colur with a big dense creamy head, the nose is citrusy and honeyish, slightly yeasty, creamy mouthfeel, lot of carbonation, medium-bodied, tart biterness, dry short finish - fresh and easy but better than the actual Bleue and Rouge - thanks to Jeppe (BierKönig) for this rare beer !

Golden/yellow, hazy and with a nice white head. Yeast is floating in the glass. Aroma is herbal, hoppy and yeasty. Has a little more thin body then the other Chimays. Spicy and peppery, hoppy and with some yeast.

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2005 11.12 oz bottle purchased by the Kuhnhenn brothers and sampled with them at their brewery. Pours a caramel to orange color, fine bubbles, mildly hazy. Small white head. Aroma has a bit of sweet malt, hints of light yellow fruit esters (light apricot, light peach), bit of yeast in there as well. Flavor is very dry, papery and astringent, with a light hops flavor mixed in with a very mild malt and yeast character. Finishes lightly sweet. Light bodied.

Clear orange golden body (hazy if the bottom of the bottle is poured) with an OK off-white head. Light and fresh aroma of yeast, hay, fruit and citrus. Fruit and hay flavor, quite thin and a little tame. Lacks some bitterness.

33 cl. bottle; served in Chimay chalice. Slightly hazy, orangey golden color. Moderate white head. Pleasant, fresh, delicate aroma. Taste is soft and rather subdued; there are slight citrus notes and a decent freshness. Thin, watery finish. Pleasant, tickly mouthfeel. Very good drinkability.

An unclear dark orange beer with a fine but collapsing head. The aroma is sweet and pretty complex with notes of alcohol, wood, fruit, and metal. The flavor fruity with strong notes of plms, oranges, and coriander. The mouthfeel is very carbonated almost like a sodapop - and a little thin - especially compared to the ohter Chimays. A very fresh beer - this would make a great session beer if it was marketed.
