Bouteille, 33 cl, Kulminator, Janvier 2006.

Bottle bought in Denmark, pours golden with a thin lasting head, malty and lightly spicy nose, medium-thin bodied, a little grainy plus peppery and spicy hop notes. A bit gassy. A nice spiced golden ale.

Bottle at Aye Aye Club, august 19th 2014. Hazy yellow body with a big foamy white head. Head is growing upwards in the middle of the glass like shaked starsan out of an open corny keg. Quite cool, but I hope I’ll be able to sip the fluid soon. No worries there, an opening appears at the rim. Aroma is quite spicy yeast, flowers, vineous. Bittersweet taste of banana, spices, citrusy hops, good sweetness, refreshing finish. Not as complex as one might expect from Chimay though that’s what the lower ABV gets you I guess. Still quite enjoyable, I’ll happily have it again.

Bottle. Light golden, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish aroma, light caramel and bread, light fruitiness and hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light caramel and fruitiness, light citrus hoppyness. Finish average, malty with light sweetness, light caramel and faint bread, light fruitiness and citrus hoppyness, faint yeast. Watery ale – don’t believe the hype. Thank god I am not monk - this mediocre and thin ale would be only one available

Marstonlad (412) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 19, 2014
Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours hazy straw yellow with a big white head. The aroma is both floral and herbal, very prominent yeastiness with some balancing grainy maltiness and grassy hoppiness. Taste is fairly dry with fresh fruitiness, grainy maltiness and Belgian yeastiness most prominent. The palate is medium bodied, smooth and slick. Similar elements with stronger trappists; not as rich or full but more drinkable.

Bottle. Two-finger, ivory, big-bubbled, medium fast head. Hazy ochre. Melon and red berries on aroma. Crispy edgy palate. Rasberry, spicy hops.

330mL bottle. Pours a hazy straw colour with a thick, persistent white head, which leaves a little bit of lace. Earthy and yeasty aroma with fruity esters, a little bit of wheat and some malt. Mild sweetness and a medium bitterness, a little grass. Light-medium body, above average carbonation and a fair amount of creamy foam, drying bitter finish.

Cloudy yellow beer, long lasting nice head and hints of lacing sticking to the glass. Aroma has fruits, spices, yeast and some wheat. Taste is fruity and spicy being a bit mild for my taste but a nice summer beer anyway. Thin body and very high carbonation, which makes this beer a bit hard to drink.
