Tasted a lot like a wheat beer...bananas, caramel etc, but not very sweet at all, unlike a lot of belgian brown beers.

Bruin bier met beige schuimkraag en invallende grote bellen. Geur: moutzoetig, deeg, rijp fruit. Smaak: brood, moutzoetig, kandij. Medium koolzuurprikkel en redelijk volmondig. Afdronk: zoetig met wat bitterig.

World Beer Festival Raleigh It pours brown in color. There area aromas from a good malt base, fruits, and earthly elements. It has flavors of fruit, caramel, and earthly elements from the yeast. It has a dry finish.

Tasted from the 750ML bottle, part of the three pack. Cloudy copper color. Fruit and hops on the nose. Silky creamy mouth. Good hoppy finish. 7%alcohol lends structure to this well balanced Trappist ale.

Brown color with tan head, nice balanced malty and carmel aroma. Taste balanced between malt and yeast, sweet. It is a really good beer.

Couleur : Brune ambrée avec une bonne carbonation et une faible effervescence
Arômes : Au nez c’est mélasse, alcool, levure belge et raisins secs, et une bonne présence de pommes vertes également.
Goût : En bouche c’est pomme verte et caramel. On sent également un petit arrière-goût d’épices, ainsi que la levure belge toujours présente.
Appréciation Pas la belge avec la plus grande buvabilité alors qu’on goûte pas mal l’alcool malgré ses 7%. La complexité est toutefois au rendez-vous, avec toute la profondeur des saveurs senties par cette bière.

0,33 bottle. Pours brown/copper color with large white, mostly lasting head. Fruity aroma, bake. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter. Finish is medium long with warm alcoholic notes. Body is medium, average carbonation.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours hazy brown. Aromas of roasted malts, banana, cloves, resin. Sharp and bitter to taste at first, becomes sweet and malty by end of sip. Feels like I should be tackling it with a knife and fork.
