kuphish (150), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Jun 23, 2009 33cl bottle. Pours an average, frothy, off-white head. Has a muddy, burnt red body with generous yeast particulate. Heavy malt aroma of caramel, plum, cherry and some grape. Fairly abundant yeast phenol presence - nice spiciness. A little fruitiness from the esters. Medium body balanced by lively carbonation and a light hop bitterness. Candi sugar dry finish keeps the caramel malts in check. Pleasant, warming alcohol lingers. Surprisingly easy drinking and tasty, though not quite as interesting as I had hoped. Nordcore (266), North of, Norway Jun 23, 2009 Bottle 33 cl. Apperance; Dark orange, hazy with a big orange head.
