I have misplaced my comments for this beer CelticBrew (676), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Oct 25, 2008 750 ml bottle, poured hazy brown, forming huge off white foamy head. Aroma slight of bananas, cloves and flowers. Flavour smooth, banana, spices with a particular floral note. Interestingly, some hop and malt character comes through as well. Delicious beer from our friends in Belgium. chimaybier (51), Redding, California, USA Oct 24, 2008 My very first beer from Belgium when Liquor Barn was in Dublin, CA. This was 1983!! I have been a devotee of Trappist ales and Belgian beers ever since. Albertcampion (8), , Greater London, England does not count Oct 24, 2008 Bottle. Tangy with a zip of citrus and a hit of banana. Smooth and quite sweet. Flavours of fudge and brown sugar faint but definately present. Long tingly finish. EHSRanders (1121), Randers C, Denmark Oct 24, 2008 Bottle. Hazy amber colour with large creamy white mostly lasting head. Malty aroma. Sweet fruity flavor. Oily palate. brigg (213), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Oct 22, 2008 (bottle) A murky, dark brownish-red body and a small off-white head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, with noticeable alcohol. Medium bodied and moderately bubbly. Slightly sweet up front before becoming more bitter; banana, and floral notes as well. Has a warm, tingly alcohol sensation on the tip of the tongue. esox (259), Oulu, Finland Oct 21, 2008 Updated: Oct 26, 200833 cl bottle. Pours hazy copper to amber with a medium white head. Malty aroma is somewhat hoppy, spicy and a bit yeasty. Dark, sweetish fruity aromas are close to wine gums. Somethng like raisins or dates, maybe also plums. Flavor is something from sweetish to sour: fermented fruits, dark caramelly malts and yeast. The finish is lightly bitter but not dry. There´s something faint but delicious in the finish that literally makes my mouth water. Palate is soft, medium bodied and a bit thin.
