| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Lovely golden amber colored liquid. Nice two-finger foamy white head. Okay retention and some quite decent lacing.
Bananas. Powerful smell of bananas strikes first. Nice caramely malt scent. Earthy yeastiness. Slight spiciness to it.
Pan-fried bananas with carmelized brown sugar and hints of clove and corriander. Nice yeasty bread notes. Roasted malt notes make a slight appearance.
Good creamy smooth feeling in the mouth. Very good carbonation level. Nice tiny little bubbles that dance over your tongue and down your throat.
With the alcohol so well hidden, this is an excellently drinkable brew. Nice and easy.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Aromas of corianer, anise, white pepper, orange. Metallic, wet blanket yeast. Some bready, butterscotch malts.
Flavor starts with big spicy anise dominatation followed by a yeast explosion. Builds to a sour, bitter climax with smoother fruity malt notes in the finish. A Very pleasant and complex brew. Some burnt wood, molasses notes in there as well.
The texture is well carbed but pleasant, with a good amount of pucker. The finish is light and dry.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 15, 2009 Almost year old bottle. Pours a deep golden to straw color, reasonably opaque, with a nice creamy off white head that lasts reasonably well. Nose is fruity, lots of orange. A bit of hops, also citrusy. Hints of yeast are in there as well. Flavor is much the same, plenty of light fruity notes. Nice and bitter, plenty of hop flavour in there, good and citrusy. There’s a bit of a malty backing, and it very slightly warms your insides from alcohol. In the mouth it has a nice feeling, appropriately thick, nicely carbonated. Very pleasant beer. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 15, 2009 It poured hazy orange liquid with a huge icecream looking foam that rose like a mountain above the rim of the glass. As it receded it left little craters and lots of lacing along the side of the glass. This is a great look for a beer, very appealing.
It had a fairly strong smell of yeast, oranges, other citrus fruits, malt and a hint of hops. There where some more smells which I couldn’t quite place.
The mouthfeel was smooth, despite a medium amount of carbonation. It had a medium body and medium bitterness. It tasted similar to what it smelled, yeast, oranges, citrus and a hint of hops. Not very sweet, a bit dry and felt complex. There where more tastes that I couldn’t put my finger on. A very nice beer. markas101 (551), Fargo, North Dakota, USA

Hazy deep golden colour, volcanic like fermentation rising from the bottom. Still frothy head, coriander, citrus and yeaty/farmhouse aroma. Very smooth, clean first sip. Active in the mouth with gentle ongoing carbonation, sweet and dry peppery finish.
