Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Orange in color with a thick off-white head. Aroma is heavy in yeastiness with some spiciness as well. Taste is spicy with some grain and yeast.

very nice cloudy golden honey color with a thick creamy white head. spicy coriander aroma with orange peel and mild hoppiness. citrus is evident in the flavor with notes of coriander and black pepper. nice spicy hoppiness but not overdone. mouthfeel is very creamy and the finish is spicy and dry...slightly reminiscent of a saison.

Wasn’t prepared for how much I liked this one. Pale yellow color. Nice, thick, white head. Citrusy aroma and complex flavor, with some spice and fruit notes. This one’s a keeper.

Aroma: Dried Apricot, Honey, Over-ripe Banana, and Orange Peel. Appearance: Very nice warm amber color with a bit of cloudiness. There is a presence of yeast floating in the beer. Head forms nicely but does not get out of hand. Maybe one solid finger of head. Flavor: Nice amount of bitterness hits the tongue immediately, and is accompanied by a good deal of carbonation. Once down, I get a lot of the honey and orange aspects. Palate: Not an overly heavy beer, but it definitely has some teeth. Good amount of carbonation (with very tight bubbles), too. Overall Impression: I like this one quite a bit and it’s readily available if you are traveling and just want a reliable beer to enjoy. Not quite as remarkable as the Grande Reserve, but not far behind, either.

Draft (monks) Poured into a trappist glass. Light orange in color good head. F-ing super smooth, wow. Nice light orane/lemon wheat taste. Light hops as well. Texture was perfect, light creamy, low carbonation. Simple but great beer.

This fine beer is what a Belgium Ale should be. Spiced aromatics of Corriander, orange and more, which is slightly greater than the malts and hops. The flavor is clean with a well balanced hop bitters that lingers. Overall the beer is dry, light and very drinkable. In other words, give me another. Cheers

12 oz bottle. A golden haze, maybe a burnt orange in color. A nice white head. Aroma is spice, banana, some yeastiness and hops. More banana upfront on the taste, then a fruity spice, some yeast, giving way to a nice hoppy finish. A little bit of the aftertaste is a fruit, more banana.

Bottle - Hazy gold with a lasting, frothy off white head and good lacing. Low to medium carbonartion. Medium body. Wheaty with banana, cloves and a touch of alcohol. Slightly dry finish with a medium bitterness.
