Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Wow, Pours golden with a white head. Very, very smooth and bright for a triple. Smell the wonderful hops and yeast. I have wanted to try Chimays trappists for a very long time and I am very impressed. Thanks to the monks, keep the wonderful brews flowing around the world.

Alcohol, butterscotch and orange on the aroma. Beer is a translucent yellow-orange with a white, tightly nit head. A slightly sharp, tingly feeling on the tongue that is very pleasant! An amazingly complex beer for such a light color. Tasty citrus notes throughout. Much smoother than the Chimay Blue.

Split this bottle with my dad. Very good, although I was warned that this was the worst of Chimay bottles. Nice orange golden color, scattered with particles. Great thick head that did not last very long but left a nice simple lacing. Fruity taste, not overwhelmingly bitter.

Tap at Papago and my 500th rating. A beautiful, tasty beer that is probably even better out of the bottle. Aromatic notes of flour, soft apple and cream. Tastes of the same along with wheat, light citric zest and a wonderful patina of vanilla at the close. Smooth and calming.

On Tap. pours out a nice mostly clear golden color with a nice fluffy slightly off white head. Aroma is of yeast, fruit, spice and some earthy notes. Taste is complex and well balanced, banana, citrus, some spice and some grainiess in there with a slightly dry finish. Solid.

Larger Bottle: Pours of a pure golden honey color with a thick white head. Smell of strong hops and a unique grainy bread. Taste is strong hops and alcohol, but leaves the palate with a bitterness which evolves and melts away. Different, but enjoyable.
